I would recommend that you still find someone to check on them. A lot can happen in 3-4 days.

I am happy to read your blog. My husband and I just bought a small farm in Northwest Florida and I want to have about 6-10 chickens for eggs. They will be by themselves for 3-4 days. I am planning an fully enclosed coop, with auto feeders (though I love your pvc one) and waters with backups. Do you think this is possible, so I can still enjoy fresh eggs? Thanks, Sheri
